I started playing trombone, guitar and bass at 13 years old. My early musical influences were Simon & Garfunkel, Peter Paul & Mary and the Beatles. I came to
Colorado from New York on a scholarship to the Lamont School of Music at the
University of Denver. I played trombone with the DU jazz band.At DU I performed with artists like Free and West, Bruce and Laing while a member of Little Brown's Electric Band which was an all original rock/fusion project. I was a founding member of Dawson, a very successful country rock band based in Denver. Dawson performed with many country greats including Charlie Rich, Billie Jo Spears, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, B.W. Stevenson, Amazing Rhythm Aces and Charlie Daniels.
In the '80's and early '90's I played in various rock, country and jazz groups, including The Match, The Executives, Nikki James & The Pioneer Bratz, Timothy P. and the Rural Route Three and Don Hagan & All Points Bulletin.
I joined "Exit 232" in January of 1999 singing lead and backup vocals as well as playing fretted and fretless five string electric bass.
